This holistic view is essential, especially in the era of personalized medicine, where healthcare is tailored to individuals based on comprehensive data sets. The potential of scientific breakthroughs has shifted the perspective on health, viewing it through the lens of health determinants, social circumstances, and biological insights provided by “omics” data. The different omics enable more nuanced screening methods, enhancing the transition from health to disease states, improving prevention tools, and innovating the diagnosis and treatment of diseases. Particularly, the paper focuses on the concept of personalized prevention, which uses an individual’s genetic information to devise targeted prevention strategies, marking a significant shift from one-size-fits-all approaches.
