摘要

The emergence of personalized cancer treatment introduced a paradigm shift in oncology, where therapeutic approaches are customized to the distinct molecular and genetic properties of individual malignancies. This strategy, which is based on the complex field of molecular biology, targets certain molecules involved in the development and spread of cancer to maximize therapeutic success and minimize side effects. The U.S. Food and Drug Administration’s (FDA) approval of personalized drugs designed to target specific genetic alterations and biomarkers in cancer is highlighted as a recent milestone in cancer treatment. A future is envisioned where precision medicine seamlessly integrates into mainstream cancer care by emphasizing ongoing research, technological advancements, and global collaboration. Innovations in clinical trial design are highlighted as essential for validating the effectiveness of personalized treatments. The narrative anticipates a dynamic journey toward unlocking the full potential of precision oncology, offering a glimpse into a future where cancer care is truly personalized, effective, and ethically guided. This review provides a comprehensive overview of the molecular underpinnings and insight into the foundation of this groundbreaking approach.
