摘要

To facilitate cell proliferation and tissue formation, biocompatible frameworks must be created for use in tissue engineering. The goal of the investigation was to determine whether it would be feasible to substitute the tissue in bones with polylactic acid (PLA) frameworks made with a commercial three-dimensional printer. The frameworks mechanical properties, degradation rate, and biocompatibility were assessed in the course of this research. The outcomes showed that the mechanical characteristics of the 3D-printed PLA frameworks were favorable and similar to those of natural bone such as compressive strength and elastic modulus. Moreover, the rate at which the framework deteriorates was suitable for bone tissue replacement, as they showed gradual weight loss over time. The studies using in vitro cell cultivation showed that the frames were compatible with the body and promoted cell adhesion and growth. These encouraging findings point to the possibility that 3D-printed PLA frameworks could replace lost bone tissue in a practical way and providing hope to those who require bone regeneration.
