摘要

It has some downsides when using biodiesel as a source of energy specifically, and biodiesel can negatively impact engine performance regarding emissions and efficiency. To reduce emissions, various methods are used, such as various operating parameters and blending with oxygenated compounds. One of the most effective methods is blending with oxygenated compounds. To mitigate the drawbacks of biodiesel, various oxygenated compounds such as butanol, pentanol, solketal, diglyme, butyl-diglyme, diethyl ether, dimethyl carbonate, and others must be used. This research looks into the use of various oxygenated additives in biodiesel to reduce emissions and increase efficiency. Oxygenated compounds are mixed with biodiesel to lower emissions and improve engine performance when compared to biodiesel alone.
