摘要

Metal Inert Gas (MIG) welding is a welding process that employs consumable electrodes and an inert gas to prevent the weld from being contaminated by oxygen and water. This method is widely used in various engineering industries due to its flexibility and ability to produce high-quality welds. Angular distortion is a structural irregularity that arises from the rapid heating and cooling cycles during arc welding, which is undesired. Therefore, minimizing and predicting this distortion is critical. This study is aimed to establish a correlation between the input parameters, including voltage (V), wire feed rate (WFR), weld speed (WS), and angular distortion (AD) using mathematical modeling. The statistical design of experiments technique was utilized in the research. The mathematical model's suitability was assessed using the ANOVA technique, and the graphical outcomes were produced using RSM.
