Teaching Smart Metrology Through Monte Carlo Simulations
摘要
Metrology is the scientific study of measurement. In this paper, the utilization of Monte Carlo simulations is demonstrated to enable students to better estimate uncertainties in calculated values during practical lab work. This method aligns with the development of “smart metrology”, which aids companies in optimizing resources, reducing production costs and adjusting preventive maintenance. These simulations are easy to implement, computationally efficient, and provide an accurate estimation of measurement uncertainties.
