The MisHaps diminutive of the English word mis-happenings was an initiative offering the opportunity to convert failure into learning. Our project used the Japanese technique of Kintsugi to prepare students for their future and to promote an entrepreneurial culture in them. The Kintsugi technique of repairing pottery with gold is a technique addressing the meaning we give to failure and what we have learned about it. The goal is to recognize the learning that comes from every failure because failure is one of the main obstacles to success. Recognizing mistakes helps to obtain basic skills and values for life. The activity helped the students develop the writing, interpretation, and communication skills required to produce audiovisual pieces and focus on acquiring relevant skills for their future, like non-verbal language, scene composition, video editing, and adding special effects to gain beneficial experience in this field. At the end of the activities, the 120 students attending a social entrepreneurship class in the January–May 2022 semester took a satisfaction survey with a Likert scale from 1 to 5, where 5 was very satisfactory and 1 unsatisfactory. The survey mean was 4.98, with a standard deviation of 0.52. The students mentioned that they liked the activity because it showed them that everybody has setbacks, can thrive in life despite these, and can learn from each other and be supportive.
