TKA Development in Japan: FINE Knee
摘要
The most significant feature of FINE Knee is that globally, it is the first to adopt an asymmetrical design for the tibial joint surface of the femur, similar to that of a biological knee. Following the basic bone resection theory of TKA, this implant aims to reproduce biological knee joint function by using mechanical alignment for stability and a built-in 3° medial tilt to the F-T joint surface (Fig. 9.1a). This results in a fusion of anatomical and mechanical alignment, leading to kinematic alignment in terms of function, thus achieving ideal reconstruction in terms of ligament function.
