Blood Management Strategy
摘要
TKA is associated with considerable perioperative blood loss that sometimes necessitates allogeneic blood transfusions. Allogeneic blood transfusions carry the risk of transfusion-associated viral infections and graft-versus-host disease [1]. Furthermore, allogeneic blood transfusion in the perioperative period after TKA is an independent risk factor for periprosthetic joint infections and DVT [2]. Numerous studies have focused on managing blood loss during TKA to reduce the need for allogeneic blood transfusions.
