Consensus is lacking about whether to resurface the patella during total knee arthroplasty (TKA). It is necessary to understand the advantages and disadvantages of each option and carefully consider the implant choices before choosing a product. Here we compare the clinical results, procedural knacks, pitfalls of patellar resurfacing, and recent findings.
