Important Aspects of Surgical Techniques
摘要
To obtain excellent postoperative results, it is necessary to estimate the degree of preoperative deformities, rotational abnormalities, and contractures. The goal of the preoperative evaluation is to predict whether surgery will result in superior function. In TKA, it is important to obtain near-normal joint function (kinematics) by acquiring correct alignment, fixation, and good stability with respect to the functional axis of the lower limb. Therefore, it is important to establish reliable surgical techniques as well as component design and materials.
