Rotational Alignment

Conventionally, femoral rotational alignment differs depending on whether it is performed using the measured or gap technique. The measured technique determines rotational alignment based on anatomical parameters, and the gap technique adjusts the soft tissue balance in the flexed position with femoral rotational alignment. Several anatomical landmarks have been identified (Fig. 43.1).
