PCL Substitution: PS, BCS, CS

  • Satoshi Hamai

摘要

The post-cam mechanism was developed to enhance knee stability, ROM, and performance in dynamic activities like stair climbing by compensating for PCL function. Prior designs to the PS type faced challenges such as forward femoral sliding during flexion and reduced quadriceps efficiency. Both simulation-based and in vivo dynamic analysis methods have explored its impact on femoral rollback, rotational motion, and contact stress in anterior and posterior posts, highlighting its evolution and design variations across different models for cruciate ligament substitution.
