Articular Surface Geometry
摘要
Design of the articular surface in TKA plays a crucial role in determining the stability of the knee joint and significantly impacts postoperative clinical outcomes. Historically, the focus of articular surface geometry in TKA has been on ensuring durability of the implant. However, in recent years, there has been an increasing demand for TKA implants that not only provide durability but also enhance patient satisfaction by allowing deep knee flexion and facilitating high levels of physical activity. In this section, we will discuss the fundamental concepts of femoral-tibial articular surface designs in TKA.
