TKA Development in Japan: Vanguard PSRP

Vanguard PSRP was introduced in 2016 as a successor to the Vanguard RP High-Flex (used since 2006), with an improved box ratio [1], inner and outer width, and outer posterior condyle shape, as well as with additional size variations. The design aimed to safely achieve deep flexion by combining the PS design and mobile mechanism (Fig. 15.1); currently, more than 28,000 knees are being used with good results.
