Prediction of Stress–Strain and Displacement Behavior of Reinforced Unpaved Roads Using FEM and ANN Techniques

  • Vivek

摘要

In order to forecast the stress–strain behavior of unpaved road segments reinforced with treated and untreated coir geotextiles, the primary objective of this study is to apply FEM and ANN methodologies. In this study, sodium hydroxide, sodium periodate, and p-aminophenol were employed as treatments on two woven and two non-woven coir geotextiles. The stress–strain and displacement patterns were analyzed utilizing the finite element method and the ABAQUS software. Equations representing the relationship between bearing capacity and deformation were formulated through the implementation of artificial neural network methodologies. The depth and width of the coir geotextiles exhibited an increase in addition to their capacity to withstand tension during treatment. By applying the equations derived from artificial neural networks, values are interpolated within the specified ranges.
