An Empirical Investigation Examining the Correlation between Organizational Culture and Employee Commitment in Manufacturing Companies in India
摘要
The corporate culture of a corporation has a profound influence on the behaviour of its employees. This includes the shared values, attitudes, rituals, beliefs, traditions, expectations, socialization, and assumptions inside the organization. A committed employee remains loyal to the organization, irrespective of favourable or unfavourable circumstances. The impact of organizational culture on change may either aid or hinder it, and the degree of employees’ commitment to the organization varies depending on their perception of it. Research based on empirical evidence investigates the link between business culture and employee commitment by employing the Cronbach’s alpha reliability test, mean, and correlation coefficient. The study reveals that power cultures have a substantial impact on the level of commitment demonstrated by employees in the manufacturing sector of Indian firms.
