An Enhanced High Secured Blockchain-Based E-Coupon Service with Minimal Performance Overhead
摘要
Because e-commerce is so convenient and portable, electronic coupons, or e-coupons, are being utilized increasingly often. Most e-coupon systems use a single server to manage e-coupon data. Nevertheless, since e-coupon systems are centralized, they might occasionally be subject to security risks. For instance, it could be challenging to match the real identity of the user with the owner of an expiring e-coupon if the information stored in a centralized e-coupon server is falsified. This behavior is known as double-spending. We suggest a novel e-coupon service that leverages blockchain technology to increase security in order to address this problem. To do this, we must first construct a server that can run the e-coupon service and communicate via the blockchain network. We also design a blockchain-based smart contract in order to ensure the validity of the reasoning and data of the e-coupon company. We put the suggested service into operation using a blockchain infrastructure built on Ethereum. When contrasted to an existing e-coupon service, the testing results demonstrate that our suggested service enhances greater safety without fewer costs in terms of efficiency.
