Ultrawide Wavelength Tunability Using Lesser Grating Periods in Optical Nanowire
摘要
We propose an optical nanowire (ONW) grating-based device for the measurement of the diameter of the ONW. A detailed numerical analysis is carried out to see the tunability of the device. Tunability in the resonance wavelength can be realized by keeping the grating parameters constant and changing the different diameters of the ONW. We show that there is an ultrawide tunable of resonance wavelength of 40 nm that can be realized by a variation of ONW diameter of 100 nm. Also, a thorough study of dependence on the quality factor and effective mode volume is carried out for different diameters of ONW. So, we believe that the proposed system can be used in quantum network applications.
