Revamping Classroom Pedagogy with Educational Technology: Empowering Educators with TF-IDF Model

The utilization of the Term Frequency-Inverse Document Frequency (TF-IDF) model is prevalent in the fields of information retrieval and natural language processing. Its implementation in the realm of education holds the promise of improving teaching and learning outcomes. The present study expounds on the TF-IDF model’s application in education, presenting tangible instances from the real world to demonstrate its advantages for educators and learners. The paper showcases Python code snippets and their corresponding outputs as a means to illustrate the utilization of the model in analyzing and enhancing different aspects of education. This research highlights a notable utilization, which concerns the development of educational curricula. The utilization of the TF-IDF model has the potential to facilitate the identification of pivotal concepts and ideas in educational resources and textbooks, thereby supporting the creation of focused and all-encompassing curricula. In addition, TF-IDF model has the potential to be utilized in the realm of information retrieval methodologies, thereby streamlining the process of locating and obtaining pertinent educational resources, such as scholarly publications or multimedia content, from vast repositories of materials. Additionally, the potential of the TF-IDF model for automated grading is investigated with the objective of improving the accuracy and dependability of grade allocations for assignments and quizzes. Furthermore, the utilization of the TF-IDF model for sentiment analysis is being explored as a method for assessing student satisfaction and involvement via surveys and evaluations of academic courses. Although the TF-IDF model has demonstrated efficacy as an educational instrument, it is not immune to constraints. The present study acknowledges certain limitations, including the need for extensive datasets and the possibility of biases in the results, thereby emphasizing the need for additional research in these domains. This study proposes recommendations for further research and suggests a course of action for academics and educators interested in exploring the potential of the TF-IDF model in education.
