Bangladesh-China Bilateral Relations: Appraising the Dynamic Role of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina

Key relations between Bangladesh and China were set up in 1976 and prioritized common interests. With the dynamic leadership of Sheikh Hasina, both countries have consented to keep on state visits and contacts between government organizations, parliaments, ideological groups, military, and non-legislative gatherings. Different groups have been working to escalate participation in exchange, speculation, horticulture, transportation, and framework improvement based on equity and common advantage. “Belt and Road Initiative” has contributed to deepening the mutual interest of both countries. This chapter investigates the role of Bangladesh and Chinese governments in fostering trade, investment, agriculture, transportation, and infrastructural development. This will focus on these activities to disclose the present pattern of two-sided relations between Bangladesh and China under the leadership of Sheikh Hasina as Prime Minister of Bangladesh. The data used in this article are collected from different secondary sources and diplomatic documents.
