NoPass—A Novel Passwordless Multi-authentication-Based Approach for Secure Login
摘要
NoPass is a novel multi-authentication-based approach for secure login that combines knowledge-based authentication and the randomized textual-graphical login method. Traditional password-based authentication methods are susceptible to hacking and cyberattacks. NoPass offers a more secure and reliable authentication method that enhances user account security by gathering their personal information that only they would know and generating a randomized user interface for the user to provide input. This paper presents the concept of NoPass and its benefits over the traditional password-based authentication method. NoPass offers an additional layer of security that makes it harder for cybercriminals to guess or steal the users’ passwords and gain access to their accounts. The randomized textual-graphical login method generates a question each time that is unique and randomized, which makes it impossible for hackers to predict. NoPass is recommended for organizations that prioritize their customers’ security and privacy. NoPass offers a practical solution to enhance user account security in the face of increasing cyberattacks and the vulnerability of the traditional password-based authentication method. The implementation of NoPass should also be considered as an alternative to traditional two-factor and multi-factor authentication methods, especially for organizations that prioritize their customers’ security and privacy.
