Cryptanalysis of a Histogram-Based Watermarking Framework
摘要
This paper presents a comprehensive cryptanalysis of a watermarking scheme proposed by Fan et al., aiming to assess its robustness and vulnerabilities. The scheme employs a novel histogram-based method for watermark embedding, utilizing a chaotic Logistic map for scrambling. This study examines the scheme's performance and security through four simple attacks: brightness, rotation, scaling, and collusion attacks. Through meticulous implementation and analysis, the paper uncovers key observations, challenges, and limitations of the scheme. The results reveal vulnerabilities in the face of these attacks, indicating the need for refinements to enhance its resilience. The research contributes to the broader understanding of watermarking techniques and their potential for safeguarding digital content against tampering and unauthorized usage.
