Medical Monitoring System Based on the Internet of Things Technology
摘要
In this paper, we will present a development of a remote medical monitoring process for the elderly or patients with chronic diseases requiring long-term treatment, outside the confinement of hospitals, including their homes and workplaces. The system is based on the emergence of advanced communication technologies, in particular, Internet of Things (IoT) technology in the context of clinical health. It is equipped with connected sensors which make it possible to collect a set of physiological parameters (for example, temperature, the electrical activity of the heart, pulsed oxygen saturation, etc.). All this collected and arranged data will subsequently be communicated via wireless technology (Wi-Fi), then automatically hosted on a secure cloud. These parameters may be seen on a web page by the doctor or the patient at any location in the world, using a laptop computer, smartphone, etc., equipped with a simple Internet browser. This allows an adequate follow-up of the chronically ill and also medical self-monitoring.
