Time–Frequency Analysis of Some Pathological Arabic Speech Signals

In this paper, we will present a time–frequency analysis for some real pathological Arabic speech signals using some time–frequency distribution (TFD). TFD are helpful tools for analyzing non-stationary signals such as speech signals. We have used the spectrogram (SP) in conjunction with the Rényi entropy. The study is conducted on some cases of laryngectomy signals. The best values of the analysis parameters are extracted by evaluating the minimization of the Rényi entropy values.
