A Multiple-Areas Based on PID-Virtual Inertia Control Strategy for Inverters
摘要
Most of the renewable energy sources (RESs) are integrated to the grid by means of power electronic converters, which affect the frequency stability of the power system due to the lack of inertia. To solve the stability issues of power system dominated by RESs, virtual inertia control (VIC) is proposed in the recent researches. This paper highlight the issues related with the frequency deviation of the power system caused by high penetration of RESs and loads perturbation. The main objective is to achieve the frequency stability of an interconnected power system with good performances using an improved virtual inertia control. A state space modelling of multiple-areas based on the virtual inertia control is developed, also the proposed control method is presented and applied in all areas of the power system, a simulation model is introduced in order to verify the efficient of the proposed control in regulation of frequency which is confirmed in the result.
