Impact of Distribution Generation on Transient Stability with PSAT

A change in the power systems is taking place as a result of the rise in power generators powered by renewable energy sources (RESs). The penetration of RESs, which have more unpredictable behavior, has risen, adding to the complexity of power networks. The examination of the power system's transient stability under short circuit faults using solar-wind hybrid generators is presented in this work. To increase the security level of power system operation, an efficient analysis and evaluation of the effect of hybrid solar-wind generation on power transient stability is essential. The system's time domain analysis is performed both without and with (RESs) penetration, and the results are then compared. These investigations include the IEEE-9 bus test system. The simulation is performed using MATLAB's Power System Analysis Toolbox (PSAT). The analysis's results indicate how solar power plants and wind turbine generators may minimize angular speed deviations, enhance oscillation damping, and lessen the burden on other producing units, all of which have a positive effect on the power system.
