Distribution of Oil and Gas Resources in Russia
摘要
Russia is located in the northern part of Eurasian continent. Twenty-six oil and gas-bearing basins have developed in this region, covering a land area of 1709.82 × 104 km2. Onshore basins include cratonic basins, rift basins, and foreland basins. The basins in Arctic seas are mainly passive margin basins, and the basins in the Western Pacific are mainly back-arc basins. 14.8% of the world’s oil and gas resources are concentrated in Russia. The total recoverable oil and gas resources in Russia amount to 2773.2 × 108 tons of oil equivalent.
