Securing the Future of Connected Cars: Investigating Vulnerabilities and Preventing Cyberattacks

As the automotive industry continues to embrace the Internet of Things (IoT) technology, connected cars have become increasingly popular. However, this popularity has come with a significant downside: the growing threat of cyberattacks. This research provides a comprehensive analysis of the various types of attacks that connected cars are vulnerable to, such as remote access, denial-of-service, and malware attacks. The study also examines the methods of detecting and preventing these attacks, including intrusion detection systems, blockchain technology, and cloud computing. Furthermore, the research analyzes the future directions of connected car security, including the role of artificial intelligence and machine learning in securing connected cars, and the need for new security standards and regulations. Ultimately, the paper concludes that to ensure the security of connected cars, automakers and cybersecurity experts must collaborate to develop and implement stronger security protocols, increase public awareness of connected car security risks, and develop new security standards and regulations.
