A Resilient System Through Modular Fabrication Process of Transesterification Reactor for Biodiesel Manufacturing

Alcohol and non-edible oil undergo a chemical reaction known as transesterification or alcoholysis. The creation of biodiesel through transesterification using waste biodegradable materials would increase the lifespan of diesel engines. The setup for a transesterification reactor used in the production of biodiesel is described in detail here. The reactor was designed to be compact, efficient, and capable of producing high-quality biodiesel from a variety of feedstock. The production process involved selecting the appropriate components, building and assembling the reactor, and installing a motor-driven stirrer to ensure efficient reactant mixing. Using spent cooking oil, the system produced 95% of the biodiesel that was needed for testing. The results demonstrate the successful construction of a biodiesel production system that may be used to small-scale manufacturing. Future work will focus on refining the reactor design and scaling up the manufacturing process for commercial use. The programme, taken as a whole, moves us closer to reducing our reliance on fossil fuels and provides a potential solution to the growing demand for renewable energy sources. In addition, limitations of the existing process technology for biodiesel production with sustainable solutions have been also discussed.
