Sustainable Design in the Era of Additive Manufacturing: A Review
摘要
This review aims to examine the convergence of sustainable design and additive manufacturing, which are both dynamic and rapidly progressing domains that hold considerable promise for enhancing sustainability within the manufacturing industry. The review covers the principles of sustainable design, the technologies and applications of additive manufacturing, and their convergence toward more sustainable manufacturing practices. In addition to highlighting a number of effective applications of sustainable design in additive manufacturing, it also identifies new trends and possible directions for further study. The review concludes that while additive manufacturing offers many opportunities for improving material and energy efficiency, reducing waste, and promoting circular economy principles, it also presents challenges that need to be addressed through ongoing research and development efforts.
