Optimization of Energy Consumption and Lead Time Using Industry 4.0

This study examines the relationship between Industry 4.0 technology and environmentally friendly production, emphasizing lead time reduction and energy optimization. The goals encompass maximizing energy efficiency, minimizing lead time for hole production, decreasing human error in pressure adjustment, and enhancing die opening and shutting speed. The issue was investigated to identify the process step with the most significant human error and time delay. Appropriate IoT sensors were then found to be deployed in that location. Using Internet of things (IoT) sensors to monitor the operation of equipment digitally; following a month of testing, the findings were compared with past results achieved without IoT sensors, optimal approach derived from the data using the software UPPAAL, PSO tool in MATLAB was standardized, and the optimized data was further monitored by a cloud manufacturing platform known as ThingsBoard.
