摘要

During COVID-19, lot of personnel protective equipment (PPEs) are used for hygienic purposes. These PPEs like gloves, kits and masks which was discarded/disposed and can be used for different application purposes. It increased the burden of polymers on the globe contributing to the increased plastic contamination. Hence, required proper disposal and conversion methods are need to utilize this waste PPEs. Soft sensors have emerged as a promising opportunity to standard inflexible sensors for environmental tracking as our most important challenge is to defend our surroundings from all corners. Unlike their rigid opposite numbers, soft sensors are bendy and conformable, permitting them to comply with curved surfaces and complex geometries that is particularly essential in monitoring complicated environments. In addition, they may be fabricated using low-cost, scalable strategies, making them an appealing choice for big-scale environmental tracking. Designing and fabricating soft sensors for environmental monitoring calls for enormous attention of the materials properties, sensor design, and fabrication strategies. Materials which include elastomers and conductive polymers have been used to create soft sensors which incorporates stretchability, conductivity, and sensitivity to environmental parameters. Various fabrication strategies, consisting of printing, moulding, and switch, had been used to create soft sensors with super form factors and sensing abilities. Soft sensors have been successfully used for various environmental tracking programs, which includes tracking air excellent, water quality, and temperature. They have also been utilized in wearable devices to display human fitness and hobby. However, demanding situations together with signal balance, sensor calibration, and sensor integration continue to be to be addressed to absolutely understand the capability of soft sensors for environmental monitoring. In conclusion, soft sensors provide a promising approach to environmental tracking, imparting flexibility, conformability, and low-cost fabrication. Further research is needed to optimize soft sensor design and fabrication methods, enhance their sensing capabilities and balance, and enable their integration into complex structures.
