Valuation of Wetland Ecosystem Services

Wetland ecosystems play a crucial role in providing a wide array of ecosystem services that contribute to the well-being of both human and environmental systems. This chapter presents a comprehensive framework for the valuation of wetland ecosystem services, aiming to bridge the gap between ecological importance and economic considerations. This chapter employs residual value and resource rent methods and benefit transfer methods based on the System of Environmental-Economic Accounting (SEEA) framework. The valuation of inland wetland ecosystem services will assist policymakers in creating a new approach that includes green accounting.
