摘要

This chapter provides an overview of the challenges and latest advancements in the field of underwater target detection using USNs. Within this context, narrow-band, multi-path, and wide-band signals are three prevalent types of received signals. Drawing on sparse reconstruction, time-frequency distribution, and empirical mode decomposition algorithms, this chapter presents comprehensive methodologies for processing these signals to detect underwater targets and accurately estimate their direction of arrival (DOA). Enhancements are implemented to ultimately improve detection capabilities and DOA estimation accuracy in underwater environments. To validate the effectiveness of these techniques, extensive simulation experiments have been conducted. Comparative results are provided to demonstrate their potential in enhancing DOA estimation effectiveness using USNs.
