Spinal Vascular Malformations and Endovascular Considerations
摘要
Spinal vascular malformations (SVMs) represent a heterogeneous neurovascular disease entity. The group includes arteriovenous malformations (AVMs), arteriovenous fistulas (AVFs), neoplastic in origin like cavernous malformations (CMs) and haemangioblastomas, and rarely venous malformations and spinal aneurysms. In this chapter, the pathophysiology of each group and the treatment modalities including open surgery and endovascular intervention will be briefly discussed. With the increasing popularity of endovascular intervention, the aspects in consideration including anatomy and patients will be evaluated in clinical practice.
