摘要

Spectral efficiency (SE) in next-generation wireless systems is expected to be improved by multicarrier waveforms in conjunction with multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) technology. Orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM), which is used by the current 4G system, is simply accomplished by using inverse fast Fourier transforms (IFFT) and fast Fourier transforms (FFT). However, the high out-of-band emissions (OOB) and cyclic prefixes of OFDM systems reduce their spectrum efficiency and make them less suitable for 6G. Filter bank multicarrier (FBMC) technology, which is required for next-generation wireless systems, provides higher spectral efficiency and lower out-of-band emissions than OFDM. Finally, this paper demonstrates the applicability of FBMC signals with 2 × 2 MIMO on the software-defined radio (SDR) in an indoor environment.
