Parameters Optimization of Selected Advanced Welding Processes

Optimization in welding is a crucial task in real life when dealing with multiple objectives. It is difficult to handle all the objectives simultaneously as the objectives are conflicting in nature which creates a difficulty in finding the optimum solution that satisfies all the objectives. In contrast to classical and analytical that rely on strict initial conditions and mathematical calculations, intelligent meta-heuristic algorithms possess the capability to identify global optimal solutions. This paper presents a brief introduction of parameters optimization of selected advanced welding processes. Case studies related to selected advanced welding processes are attempted by the Rao algorithms. From the results, it is observed that they outperformed the other optimization algorithms.
