Units, Dimensions, and Conversion Factors in Magnetism: Basic Understanding
摘要
In this book chapter, the mathematical equations related to magnetic materials are often interpreted as purely numerical relations. Herein, the basic of units and dimensions is covered in a simpler manner. The fundamental magnetic properties of materials are covered in this chapter. Furthermore, magnetic nanoparticles with ferrofluids used to generate internal heat during applied AC magnetic fields are elaborately explained. Particle size effects on coercivity, the blocking temperature and hyperfine, isomer shift and quadrupole parameters of Mossbauer spectrum taking Fe3O4 are discussed. The conversion factor to correlate unit from CGS to MKS or SI is added.
