Recent Developments in Magnetic Nanocrystalline Metal Oxides and Their Biomedical Applications
摘要
Over the years, a large amount of research has been carried out using metal oxide nanomaterials suitable for biomedical applications because of their distinct physicochemical properties. Particularly, magnetic metal oxide nanosystems are of huge significance in the area of medical research due to their rapid response to external magnetic fields. In recent years, morphological structures of magnetic materials have received great consideration owing to their exceptional surface chemistry breaching many entryways for future research on them for biomedical applications. In this chapter, a thorough account of current developments in the field of application of magnetic oxide nanomaterials for biomedical purposes has been presented along with brief descriptions of their structure, synthesis techniques, characterizations, and magnetic properties.
