Plants and Phytochemicals for Prevention and Treatment of Myocardial Ischemia
摘要
Myocardial infarction refers to the abrupt deprivation of blood supply to a section of the heart muscle. Untreated, this condition might harm the afflicted region of the cardiac muscle. Various phytochemicals have proven effective in protecting the heart against myocardial ischemia and reperfusion. This chapter provides information on plants and phytoconstituents with cardioprotective properties against myocardial ischemia and myocardial infarction injury. The phytochemicals present in this list are alliin, chlorogenic acid, curcumin, and epicatechin.
