An Overview of 3D Craniofacial Imaging

Three-dimensional imaging of the craniofacial region enhances the potential for diagnostic evaluation, planning efficiency, treatment execution, and progressive evaluation. Each imaging modality has a multitude of variants with unique indications and advantages. This chapter provides an overview by enumerating the various craniofacial imaging modalities along with their history and applications.
