Sulfur(VI) fluoride exchange (SuFEx) click chemistry has emerged as a robust and versatile synthetic strategy characterized by its efficiency, selectivity, and operational simplicity. This reaction involves the exchange of sulfamoyl fluorides or sulfonyl fluorides with various nucleophiles, forming stable sulfur(VI) linkages. SuFEx click chemistry has gained prominence due to its wide substrate scope, mild reaction conditions, and compatibility with diverse functional groups. Its applications span across multiple disciplines, including polymer science for creating durable and functionalized materials, medicinal chemistry for drug discovery and development, and bioconjugation for the modification of biomolecules.
