Organocatalyzed 1,2,3-Triazoles Forming Click Chemistry
摘要
1,2,3-triazoles, a versatile class of heterocyclic compounds, exhibit significant applications in pharmaceuticals, materials science, and agrochemicals. Traditional methods for triazole formation often rely on metal catalysts, which can be expensive and environmentally unfriendly. This chapter explores the synthesis of 1,2,3-triazoles through click chemistry facilitated by organocatalysis. This chapter highlights the use of an efficient and eco-friendly alternative using organocatalysts to promote the Huisgen 1,3-dipolar cycloaddition of organic azides and alkynes. The high yields under environmental benign condition have showcasing the potential of organocatalysts to streamline 1,2,3-triazole synthesis. Detailed mechanistic studies reveal the role of the organocatalyst in enhancing the reaction rate and selectivity. This approach not only aligns with green chemistry principles but also expands the toolkit for synthesizing triazole derivatives, highlighting its applicability in various chemical domains.
