Special Economic Zones Become the “Pioneers” of China’s New Economic System

The reform process of China’s special economic zones coincides with the contradictions and conflicts between the information and knowledge of market system and the original system of a planned economy. The root cause for the reform is the high incompatibility of the original system and rules with the new system. The special economic zones, by internalizing the information of the market system into a new economic system through the top-to-down force, have become the “pioneers” of China’s new economic system.
