An International Comparative Study on Building Shenzhen into a Global Ocean Center City

The global ocean center city combines the characteristics of both urban and marine development and has rich content. To build itself into a global ocean center city is an important historical mission entrusted to Shenzhen by the state in the new era. Based on the in-depth analysis of the meanings and characteristics of a global ocean center city, the construction of an index system for the global ocean center city, and the advantages of Shenzhen in building a global ocean center city, this article proposes to leapfrog the development of the ocean economy, build a system for the innovation of marine technology, highlight the cultural characteristics of the ocean city, and improve the comprehensive ocean management capabilities, actively participate in global ocean governance and other countermeasures.
