Analysis of Africa’s Business to Consumer E-commerce Development and Outlook on China’s Investment in Africa

The development of Africa’s economy and trade and China's investment in Africa have become the focus of scholars’ research in recent years. Taking Africa's Business to Consumer e-commerce as the research object, this chapter analyses the development of e-commerce in typical African countries from four aspects: information technology, economic development, logistics facilities and e-commerce-related laws and regulations and analyses the characteristics and trends of e-commerce development in Africa. We use literature analysis in this chapter. Based on our analysis, it is recommended that Chinese enterprises invest in Africa mainly in the infrastructure, logistics industry, e-commerce platforms and third-party payment platforms.
