摘要

This study presents a novel vanadium disulfide-silver nanocomposite synthesized through liquid phase exfoliation, demonstrating a six-fold enhancement in nonlinear absorption coefficient compared to bare vanadium disulfide nanosheets. Characterization techniques confirm the formation of high-quality vanadium disulfide nanosheets, and UV-visible absorption spectra of the nanocomposite reveal significantly enhanced absorption in the range of 360 to 700 nm due to plasmon coupling and transfer of hot electrons. Open aperture Z-scan measurements demonstrate amplified reverse saturable absorption behavior in the nanocomposite which may be attributed to the transfer of hot electrons through plasmon coupling, leading to intensified field localization at the VS2-Ag interface The observed enhancement underscores the efficacy of plasmon coupling in vanadium disulfide, offering potential applications in nonlinear optical devices.
