Borders and Boundaries: Resituating the Tiger Claw in the Current Times

摘要

Many scholars have defined the current times as an “Age of Migration”. Yet, it cannot be said that migration is a twentieth century or a twenty first century phenomenon exclusively. Migration is perhaps as old as human civilization and is usually comprised of geographical movements. These movements entail a series of economic, political, cultural, and social circumstances that lead to migration. In other words, it is because of these structural forces that drive one’s mobility, thereby controlling the mechanisms which channel and limit the migrants.
