This paper presents a vertically polarized linear antenna array of dipole elements with incorporated feed network, robustly designed for the application in S-Band surveillance and tracking radars. The dipole element used in the construction of array is designed with tri-plate structured metal grounds and balun feed. Elements in the array are fed with equal phase through two identical 1:24 incorporated feed networks. The array is designed to achieve the desired gain of more than 20 dBi with azimuth beamwidth of 2 ± 0.3° in the required frequency band of 2.9–3.3 GHz. Designed antenna array has been realized and tested. Measured results are showing close agreement with simulation results.

摘要
